Bursa Technical University (BTU) achieved great success in the 2024 Erasmus+ Mobility in Higher Education Project (KA171). In the programme, which provides university students and staff with the opportunity to learn or gain professional experience in a different country, BTU became the 2nd university with the most projects accepted with 38 supports.
BTU, which carries out projects to support the personal development of its students and staff, has also revealed its difference in the Erasmus+ KA171 Project. According to the 2024 Erasmus+ KA171 Project application results, BTU succeeded in becoming the 2nd university in Turkey to receive the most project support. BTU, which was included in the programme with 5 projects in 2020, came to the fore with projects from 6 different countries in 2022, 19 in 2023 and finally 38 in 2024. With this data, BTU, which had the highest number of projects accepted after Marmara University in 2024, left 24 universities behind. Thanks to this project, which offers university students and staff the opportunity to learn or gain professional experience in a country called ‘third country not associated with the Erasmus programme’, the international dimension of the university is also developed.
38 Projects in 2024 Emphasising that BTU is a university that stands out in terms of projects, BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar said, ‘We attach great importance to the Erasmus+ KA171 Project, which also provides the development of our cooperation with world universities. The aim of this project is to improve the international dimension of the capacity of our university by supporting the personal development of our students, employment opportunities and professional development of our staff. In the KA171 programme, which includes objectives such as strengthening cooperation between universities and increasing awareness about different cultures, we, as BTU, were entitled to receive grants with 38 projects. With this number of projects, we are proud to be ranked second in Turkey among the universities receiving grants. I congratulate those who contributed to this success and I hope that more of our projects will pass in the coming years.’
