Erasmus+ Autolia-Tech KA131 Automotive Consortium

Under the coordination of Bursa Technical University, 7 universities came together for the Autolia-Tech Consortium under the Erasmus + Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility (KA131) Programme. Within the scope of the consortium organised for automotive; students in the automotive-related departments of universities will have the opportunity to do internships in European Union countries, while staff will have the opportunity to receive training and give lectures.

Autolia-Tech consortium was signed within the scope of Erasmus + Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility (KA131) Programme hosted by Bursa Technical University (BTU). Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar, Rector of BTU, Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci, Rector of Iskenderun Technical University, Prof. Dr. Özer Köseoğlu, Vice Rector of Sakarya University, Prof. Dr. Cihan Çetinkaya, Vice Rector of Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, Prof. Dr. Meryem Çamur Demir, Vice Rector of Kırklareli University, Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim, Vice Rector of Erzurum Technical University and Prof. Dr. Emre Biçer, Vice Rector of Sivas Science and Technology University attended the signing ceremony held at Mimar Sinan Campus Senate Hall. Computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering and industrial engineering departments of the universities in the consortium will benefit from the project for the automotive field. The four-year consortium will provide university students and staff with opportunities such as internship, training and training in European Union countries.


Internship, Education, Teaching Opportunities in EU Countries

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar said, ‘Our students who will be included in the project will be able to benefit from different opportunities such as internship, and our staff will be able to benefit from different opportunities such as training and teaching mobility. While the skills and employability of our students who will be included in the programme will increase, the skills of our staff will increase in points such as innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, information exchange, multidisciplinary teaching and learning. I am happy to be the executor of this consortium as a university, where strategic partnerships between higher education institutions and bridges between education and business worlds will be established, and I wish it to be beneficial to all universities that are our stakeholders.’


 ‘Consortium in Automotive City, Under the Execution of BTU’

Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci, Rector of Iskenderun Technical University, expressed his happiness to be a partner of the consortium led by BTU, while Prof. Dr. Özer Köseoğlu, Vice Rector of Sakarya University, said that the consortium will bring great advantages to students and staff. Prof. Dr. Cihan Çetinkaya, Vice Rector of Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology, emphasised the importance of consortia for internationalisation and stated that it is very valuable for BTU, which is located in the automotive city, to represent the automotive consortium. Kırklareli University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Meryem Çamur Demir said, ‘It is very important for both students and staff to gain experience and promote our universities by going abroad within the scope of the consortium.’ Erzurum Technical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fatih Yetim expressed his happiness for taking part in the consortium.  Sivas Science and Technology University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emre Biçer said, ‘It is very valuable that this consortium is European interactive. I would like to express that we will be involved in the future studies to be carried out under the leadership of BTU.’

 One of the 5 Accepted Consortiums

 BTU Erasmus Institution Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hilal Yıldırır Keser gave information about the Autolia-Tech Consortium and said that the consortium led by BTU is one of the 5 consortia accepted in Turkey. Stating that the project is 48 months long, Prof. Dr. Hilal Yıldırır Keser stated that 13 personnel will benefit from student internship mobility, 7 personnel from staff teaching mobility and 8 personnel from staff training mobility. After the speeches, the signing ceremony started. At the meeting, which continued throughout the day, the activities to be carried out within the scope of the consortium were discussed.
