A graduation ceremony was held at Bursa Technical University’s TOMER for students who successfully completed the Turkish preparatory class. A total of 65 students from 40 different countries received their certificates, earning the right to continue in their undergraduate programs.
The ceremony took place at the Mavi Salon in Mimar Sinan Campus, E Block, with the participation of BTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Beyhan Bayhan and Prof. Dr. Barış Tamer Tonguç, academic staff, students, and their families. Expressing his pleasure in hosting international students at BTÜ, Rector Çağlar stated:
“As international students, you are not only learning a language at TÖMER but also getting to know our country’s culture. In this sense, we see you as cultural ambassadors. Today, you have successfully completed your Turkish language education, and from next year, you will begin your studies in your respective departments. After graduation, you will continue serving as cultural ambassadors while contributing to the development of your own countries. I wish you all success in your academic journey and extend my gratitude to the dedicated academic staff at TOMER.”
TOMER Director Lecturer Alev Cuydur also addressed the students, stating:
“TOMER serves as your first gateway to connecting with society upon your arrival in Turkey. We put in every effort to help you learn the language and integrate into the community. I would like to thank our University administration, especially our Rector, for their support.”
Following the speeches, students presented various performances, and the graduation ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates.
