Bursa Technical University (BTU) Rector, Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar, met with students who excelled in the "Young Trade Ambassadors Project" presentation competition.

The Young Trade Ambassadors Project, initiated by Young MÜSİAD and supported by BTU, has come to an end. The project involved more than 1,300 international students studying at BTU, some of whom participated in the competition. Two BTU international students were awarded prizes for their successful presentations in the competition.

About the Project and the Competition

The Young Trade Ambassadors Project was designed by Young MÜSİAD to build and enhance trade bridges between Turkey and the 203 countries represented by international students in Turkey. One of the main activities of the project was a presentation competition where international students shared their work. Two BTU international students stood out in the competition and were awarded for their outstanding presentations.

In a ceremony at the Rector’s office, Rector Çağlar received the winning students: Atıqullah Mohammadi, a student from Afghanistan studying at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Department of International Relations), who won first place, and Mahadi Hasan, a student from Bangladesh studying in the Graduate School of Social Sciences (International Trade and Logistics), who earned second place.

Rector Çağlar’s Message

During the meeting, Rector Çağlar congratulated the students on their achievements and expressed his belief that international students at BTU would serve as important bridges between Turkey and their home countries. He emphasized that they would not only build cultural bridges but also trade bridges.

Rector Çağlar also highlighted the objectives of the Young MÜSİAD project, which aims to increase Turkey's export efficiency and business knowledge by creating bridges between the university and the business world. He pointed out that the project participants, with their knowledge of foreign languages and international trade, would be employed in Turkish companies requiring foreign trade personnel.

Preparing Students for a Global Future

Rektor Çağlar emphasized the importance of projects like Young Trade Ambassadors in helping students prepare for their future careers. He noted that the project not only helps students grow academically but also gives them an understanding of global trade and business practices. By learning about international laws and trade, students are developing essential skills to succeed in a globalized world.

He concluded by saying, “This project is about supporting our students who are eager to improve themselves. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this project.”

This initiative highlights BTU's commitment to providing its students with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the global marketplace.
