Bursa Technical University School of Foreign Languages Hosts Instructor Meetings on Generative AI, Sustainability, and Diversity

On January 3, 2025, the School of Foreign Languages at Bursa Technical University organized three concurrent professional development meetings exclusively for instructors. The sessions focused on Generative AI, Sustainability, and Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI), providing a platform to discuss these critical topics shaping the future of education.

Generative AI Session

The session on Generative AI was led by Instructor Magdalena Keskin, who guided discussions on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education. Participants explored innovative applications of AI tools in language teaching, research, and professional workflows, emphasizing their potential to transform classroom practices and improve learning outcomes.

Sustainability Workshop

Facilitated by Instructor Eda Nur Özcan, the Sustainability workshop highlighted actionable strategies for integrating eco-friendly practices into the academic environment. The discussion focused on how instructors could encourage sustainable habits and foster a culture of environmental responsibility at the university.

Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) Discussion

Coordinated by Instructor Aytül Kanattutuşan, the DEI session centered on promoting inclusivity and equity among faculty members. Discussions addressed ways to create a supportive workplace, celebrate diverse perspectives, and ensure equal opportunities in academic settings.
